La similitude mise en lumière par la métaphore peut opérer de différentes manières : elle peut être établie entre concepts, entre le tout et une de ses parties, mais aussi entre des exemplaires d’une même catégorie. Au cours du processus de compréhension, le savoir sur l’entité du domaine source, notamment l’expérience en rapport avec des objets ou des procès familiers, est rendu disponible afin de faciliter la compréhension de concepts abstraits. En choisissant le frame comme format de représentation du savoir sur les entités du domaine source et du domaine cible de la métaphore, il nous est possible de décrire de manière détaillée les éléments épistémiques qu’elle active en vue d’une construction du sens. Nous pouvons alors observer que le savoir activé aide les allocutaires non-spécialistes dans leur construction du sens sans toutefois leur permettre de constituer ou de compléter leur savoir dans le but d’une acquisition de connaissances dans le domaine cible - celui de l’économie politique - s’approchant, au moins pour certains aspects du concept en question, de celles des experts. In diesem Paper, in dem ich mich mit Metaphern des Deutschen beschäftige, soll der Wert diseser kognitiven Prozesse für das Verstehen von Konzepten der Volks­wirtschafts­lehre untersucht werden. Die Metapher kann Relationen zwischen Entitäten verschiedener Art herstellen: zwischen Konzepten, zwischen einem Teil und dem Ganzen, aber auch zwischen Vertretern ein und derselben Kategorie. Im Verstehens­prozess wird Wissen aus der Quell­domäne, insbesondere aus der durch Gegenstände und Ereignisse des Alltags­lebens gewonnenen Erfahrung, verfügbar gemacht, was das Vestehen abstrakter Konzepte erleichtert. Die Wahl des Frame als Repräsentations­format des Wissens über Entitäten aus Quell- und Zieldomäne der Metapher macht eine detaillierte Beschreibung der epistemischen Elemente, die die Metapher in Perspektive setzt, möglich. Auf diese Weise konnte festgestellt werden, dass das aktivierte Wissen einerseits Hörer ohne Fachkennt­nisse bei der Sinn­konstruktion unterstützt, anderer­seits jedoch nicht dazu beiträgt, Wissen zu konstituieren oder zu ergänzen, sodass dieses, zumindest im Hinblick auf bestimmte Aspekte der Konzepte aus der Volks­wirtschafts­lehre, an Experten­wissen heranreicht. In this paper on the metaphors of German, we study how this cognitive process contributes to understanding the concepts of political economy. The similarity highlighted by the metaphor can operate in different ways: it can be established between concepts, between the whole and one of its parts, but also between members of the same category. During the understanding process, knowledge about the entity of the source domain, including experience with familiar objects or processes, is made available to facilitate the understanding of abstract concepts. Choosing the frame as the format for representing knowledge about the entities of the source domain and the target domain of the metaphor enables us to give a detailed description of the epistemic elements that get activated in order to construct meaning.
