Diskurs­bereichen von Einzel­sprachen nachweisen lässt. Werden Metaphern in Fachtexten verwendet, so verfolgen die Text­produzenten im Rahmen des fach­externen Diskurses häufig das Ziel, fach­spezifische Inhalte möglichst verständlich zu kommunizieren. Im Beitrag wird anhand einer empirischen, qualitativ orientierten Analyse der medizinischen Kommunikation des Deutschen heraus­gearbeitet, welche kommunikativen Funktionen Metaphern in der Präventions­kommunikation innehaben. Zu diesem Zweck wird ein Korpus von Präventions­webseiten zu unterschied­lichen Krankheits­bildern analysiert. Im Rahmen der theoretischen Vorüber­legungen werden die Funktionen von Präventions­kommunikation näher bestimmt, bevor auf die spezifische kommunikative Konstellation von Präventions­botschaften im Internet eingegangen wird. An die Klassifizierung der im Korpus nach­gewiesenen Metaphern in Bezug auf semantische Felder und die entsprechenden Bildspende­bereiche schließt sich die Beschreibung ihrer kommunikativen Funktionen an. Im Zentrum der Ergebnis­diskussion stehen Formen und Funktionen der verwendeten Metaphern, wobei der Frage nachgegangen wird, welche diskursbereich­spezifischen Funktionen diese erfüllen können. Les métaphores comme phénomène linguistique se trouvent dans différents types de texte, voire des domaines de discours, d’une langue. En utilisant des métaphores dans des textes spécialisés, leurs auteurs ont comme objectif, dans le contexte de la communication avec des non-experts, de garantir la bonne compréhension des contenus spécifiques par les lecteurs. L’objectif du présent article est d’analyser les fonctions communicatives des métaphores dans le domaine du discours médical allemand. L’étude, de visée qualitative, se base sur un corpus de sites web classifiés comme communication de prévention, portant sur différentes maladies. Dans le cadre des réflexions théoriques, nous allons déterminer les fonctions de la communication de prévention, avant de discuter le contexte de communication de ce type de messages sur internet. Après avoir classifié les métaphores dans le corpus par rapport aux champs sémantiques d’où elles sont tirés, nous allons aborder la question de savoir quelles fonctions elles exercent dans ce contexte spécifique de communication. Metaphors as a linguistic phenomenon can be found in different text types or discourse domains of a language. When metaphors are used in specialized texts addressed to a non-expert public, their authors often aim at communicating subject-specific contents in a way that they are easily understandable for the readers. In the present article, we will analyze the communicative functions that metaphors can fulfil in the context of German medical communication. The study is based on an empirical, qualitative oriented analysis of a corpus of websites containing prevention messages for different disease patterns. In a first step, we will determine the functions of prevention communication, before we will discuss the specific communicative context of prevention messages on the internet. After having classified the metaphors that can be identified in the corpus relating to the semantic fields they come from, we will describe their specific communicative functions.
