Discours adressé, les anthologies pour jeunes filles dressent, en creux, des portraits de lectrices et cartographient les relations des femmes à la lecture et à la littérature. Cependant, ces anthologies sont également prises dans un mouvement plus général de « scolarisation » de la littérature. Dès lors, on peut se demander si elles déterminent une littérature féminine et une lecture féminine de la littérature, et jusqu’où le cadre scolaire infléchit (ou non) cette délimitation. Ces questions sont abordées au regard d’un corpus s’étendant de la monarchie de Juillet à la Troisième République. The nineteenth century saw a vast market of textbooks and school anthologies grow. The anthologies for young girls draw up, in hollow, portraits of female readers and map the relations of women to reading and literature. However, these anthologies are also caught up in a more general movement of “schooling” of literature. This raises the question of whether they determine a women’s literature and a women’s reading of literature, and wether the academic framework inflects (or not) this delineation.
