Pour y répondre, il faut d’abord circonscrire le phénomène du cultisme tel qu’il est apparu au xxe siècle dans les salles de cinéma, depuis ses origines avant-gardistes et contre-culturelles jusqu’à la vogue du cinéma d’animation japonais. Il faut aussi considérer les caractéristiques formelles de l’objet culte, notamment son aspect fragmentaire, en rediscutant la théorie d’Umberto Eco. Le propos peut ensuite se focaliser sur le film culte Ghost in the Shell, dont l’adaptation en prises de vue réelles date de 2017. L’accueil mitigé fait à cette adaptation, plus encore que le film lui-même, offre un terrain d’investigation idéal car il fait saillir certains traits du public cultiste, comme l’intellectualisme et l’exotisme. Enfin, une scène du film est retenue et commentée au moyen de la notion de moment de vérité développée par Roland Barthes, afin de penser la dimension adolescente et mélancolique de l’imaginaire culto-transhumaniste. This article by Daniele Carluccio is studying the conjunction between cultism and transhumanism with three movements : a brief history of cultism, the analysis of the movie Ghost in the Shell (2017) and its reception, and a comment about a specific scene emphasizing a culto-transhumanist imaginary. Nous examinons d’abord le contexte général de l’imaginaire avant de détailler les liens ténus qu’il entretient avec la question du corps. Nous mettons ainsi en lumière l’imaginaire du corps et ses enjeux sociétaux, esthétiques et anthropologiques. We aim in this paper to developp an brief epistemological survey about the imagination of the contemporary body and to underline the diversity of questions that are at stake in this issue. We first analyse the general epistemology of cultural imagination in order to detect its tenuous links with the questions raised by the body.
