La démarche adoptée part d’une analyse mythocritique des textes pour aboutir à une mythanalyse permettant d’établir un lien entre les mythes analysés et les grands questionnements que pose l’accélération technoscientifique des xxe et xxie siècles. Cette démarche s’appuie sur l’exemple d’un corpus de textes science-fictionnels limité à l’œuvre de Dan Simmons afin de montrer que celle‑ci, par son substrat mythique, problématise la question de la technoscience dans son rapport à l’histoire, au développement de l’humanité et à la question de l’éthique This study explores how in science fiction’s novels myths are intimately linked to their ideological dimension and criticism. It begins with a mythocritical analysis that leads to a mythoanalysis in order to understand how those myths and the big issues of the accelerating technoscientific progress in the 20th and 21th centuries are linked. Hansen et de Brian Rotman relatives aux multiples virtualités de l’être humain, cet article étudiera la narration romanesque de l’imbrication des nouvelles technologies de l’information et de la communication (NTIC) dans les processus de matérialisation et d’agentivité du posthumain. Dans son roman, Truong nous invite en effet à repenser la contextualité du corps et de l’identité humaine en substituant un point de vue anthropocentrique et dualiste à une ontologie de l’émergence. This paper investigates Jean-Michel Truong’s book Le Successeur de pierre (1999) with Felix Guattari’s, Mark B. N. Hansen’s and Brian Rotman’s theories related to the multiple potentialities of human beings. It focuses more precisely on the fictional narrative of the new information and communication imbrication of technologies into the processes of posthuman’s materialisation and agency.
