Ainsi, nous passerons en revue le texte latin de la Vie de sainte Marthe de la pseudo-Marcelle, celui de la Légende dorée de Jacques de Voragine, quatre versions catalanes de la Vie — manuscrit de la BnF (M. es. 44), manuscrit de El Escorial (N‑III‑5), manuscrit de Vic (c. 174L) et l’incunable Flos sanctorum romançat (i) — et le poème en anglo-normand de Nicole Bozon, La vie seint Martha. L’analyse comparative de la représentation du dragon dans les versions énumérées ci‑dessus nous mènera, dans un deuxième temps, à nous questionner sur la fonction de la Tarasque dans les textes de la Vie de sainte Marthe analysés. The objective of this study is, first of all, to analyse the representations of the dragon in different medieval versions of Saint Martha’s Life. Thus, we will review the Latin text of Saint Martha’s Life assigned to Marcelle, that of The Golden Legend of Voragine, four Catalan versions of Life—manuscript of the BnF (M. es. 44), manuscript of El Escorial (N‑III‑5), manuscript of Vic (c. 174L) and the incunabula Flos sanctorum romançat (i)—and the poem in Anglo-Norman by Nicole Bozon La vie seint Martha.
