La transposition vers d’autres médias est ici considérée comme une forme d’actualisation – une mise en mouvement au contact du corps d’un récepteur – de l’oralité (la présence du corps) de l’œuvre première, régime de perception dont on dépend face aux textes radicalement multilingues, comme ceux de Federman qui appellent plus à une lecture par les sens que par le sens. Ainsi traduction et transposition participent-elles d’un même procédé, les œuvres originales et les nouvelles créations se nourrissant mutuellement, et devant, donc, être lues comme un ensemble. This article connects the bilingual and self-translated work of the Franco-American experimental writer Raymond Federman (1928-2009) with its intermedial transpositions, to some of which the author contributed. Transposition to other media is seen here as a kind of realization of the orality (the presence of the body) of the original work, orality being the regime of perception on which radically multilingual texts like those of Federman rely, calling on the senses, rather than on “the signified”.
