Il se base pour cela sur l’expérience pratique menée dans la première étape du projet de recherche Cartographie du web littéraire francophone où il s’agissait de repérer des auteurs relevant de cette sphère. D’une recherche d’information (où et comment trouver les productions littéraires en ligne ?), nous sommes amenés à une analyse plus épistémologique : qu’est-ce que le littéraire, quelles sont ses conditions d’émergence à l’heure des grandes plateformes numériques ? Comment ces technologies transforment-elles en retour une notion largement définie par l’univers du livre ? La redéfinition générale des textualités par le numérique paraît dès lors une opportunité pour questionner la fonction littéraire dans des sociétés plus que jamais marquées par des formes extraordinairement multiples d’écriture. This article deals with the notion of the “literary Web”. It is based on the fieldwork carried out during the first phase of the research project Mapping the French-speaking literary web (Centre Marge, Lyon 3). The main aim of this fieldwork was to identify the authors belonging to this field. This article translates the evolution of this research.From an initial search for information (where and how to find literary productions online?), we are led to more epistemological or sociohistorical questions: What is literature, and how can it be produced in the age of digital platforms? How do these technologies in turn transform a notion that primarily refers to printed books?
