La vidéo reprend la fin du film d’Agnès Varda Cléo de 5 à 7, où l’on annonce à la protagoniste qu’elle a un cancer : à partir de cette scène se construit un texte qui imagine la maladie de l’héroïne en s’appuyant sur divers documents réels trouvés sur internet (témoignages vidéo, clips médicaux, citations, données statistiques, etc.). Ce travail propose ainsi une façon d’appréhender la masse de données médicales disponible en ligne et montre comment la création poétique peut s’appuyer sur le langage technique de données réelles pour plonger dans la subjectivité fictionnelle d’un personnage. This video, resulting from creative research work, interrogates on the one hand the use of the document in the writing process and on the other hand the relationship between document and fiction, all from a medical perspective. The video takes up the end of Agnès Varda’s film Cléo de 5 à 7, where the protagonist is told that she has cancer: from this scene a text is constructed which imagines the heroin’s illness based on various real documents found on the internet (video testimonies, medical clips, quotes, statistical data, etc.). This work thus suggests a way of approaching the mass of medical data available online and it shows how poetic creation can rely on the technical language of real data to delve into the fictional subjectivity of a character.
