Le genre est désormais un critère essentiel dans la reconnaissance d’une protection internationale – toutefois, le genre est également un élément important dans le cadre de l’exclusion. Après un bref rappel des règles applicables en matière d’exclusion, nous verrons donc dans quelles situations le genre des requérantes a pu être considéré comme un facteur minimisant, ou aggravant, leur responsabilité. Each type of international protection is circumscribed by exclusion clauses. These clauses prevent asylum seekers deemed “unworthy” from obtaining a protected status. Gender is now an essential criterion in the recognition of international protection - however, gender is also an important factor when it comes to exclusion.
