Среди представителей творческой интеллигенции, покинувших Россию после Октябрьской революции и Первой мировой войны, было множество выдающихся мастеров живописи и графики. В Европе их талант проявился сразу в нескольких отраслях художественного творчества, в том числе и в сценографии, дизайне и книгоиздании. Особенно охотно художники брались за оформление книг на русском языке, а также переводов классиков русской литературы, участвуя таким образом в создании и развитии культуры русской эмиграции. Иллюстрированные издания выходили в свет во всех главных европейских центрах, среди которых особенно выделялся Париж, ставший в двадцатых годах прошлого столетия центром притяжения художественной элиты. Знаменитые мастера русского авангарда и традиционного реализма весьма плодотворно сотрудничали с крупными парижскими издательствами. Сегодня уже историю французского книгоиздания невозможно представить без графического наследия русских художников-эмигрантов. В статье, на фоне небольшого экскурса в историю европейской книжной графики начала прошлого века, впервые производится описание хранящихся в научном фонде библиотеки Жан Мулен Лион 3 тех ценных книг, художественное оформление которых принадлежит таким выдающимся мастерам как Н. Гончарова, М. Ларионов, Ю. Анненков, В. Масютин, Б. Григорьев, И. Билибин и др. Искусствоведческий анализ иллюстративного материала имеет цель привлечь внимание научных кругов к ценным коллекционным книгам славянского фонда и других французских собраний для более перспективных и углубленных исследований в этой области художественного творчества. Parmi les émigrés russes qui, après 1917, ont quitté leur pays pour rejoindre l’Europe, il y avait beaucoup d’artistes de renom dont quelques célèbres représentants de l’avant-garde russe et du légendaire mouvement « Le Monde de l’art » (Мир искусства). Largement reconnu en Russie, leur talent fut également sollicité en Europe, notamment, dans les domaines de la scénographie, de la mode et de l’art du livre. Soucieux de préserver l’identité russe en exil, beaucoup d’entre eux trouvèrent leur terrain de prédilection dans l’illustration des œuvres de littérature russe en langue originale et traduites, contribuant ainsi à l’émergence d’une culture diasporique d’exception. L’activité éditoriale vivait un plein essor dans toutes les métropoles européennes et en particulier à Paris. Dans les années 1920-1930, la capitale française, autour de laquelle gravitait toute la vie artistique et intellectuelle européenne, concentrait un grand nombre d’écrivains et d’artistes issus de l’émigration russe. Plus d’une cinquantaine de personnalités russes du monde de l’art contribuèrent à l’illustration des livres, et quasiment toutes les grandes maisons d’édition françaises firent appel à leur créativité foisonnante au cours de la première moitié du XXe siècle. Aujourd’hui il serait difficile d’envisager l’histoire de l’édition française sans l’activité des artistes-peintres de l’émigration russe. L’article vise à situer le contexte de création de quelques livres rares qui sont conservés actuellement dans le fonds slave de la bibliothèque universitaire Jean Moulin Lyon 3. Pour la première fois, sont présentés et décrits des exemplaires illustrés par de célèbres artistes russes tels que N. Gončarova, M. Larionov, Ju. Annenkov, B. Grigor’ev, V. Masjutin, I. Bilibin, etc. Témoins précieux de l’activité des artistes et intellectuels russes installés en France et ailleurs en Europe au début du siècle dernier, ils comptent parmi les pépites du fonds slave et ouvrent à ce titre de nouvelles perspectives d’études touchant l’histoire culturelle de l’émigration russe. Among Russian painters who left Russia after the Revolution of 1917, there were several renowned avant-garde artists, as well as members of the legendary movement of The World of Art. All of them had much success in Europe, as their creativity has been put into contribution in several fields of art such as scenography, fashion design, and book illustration. Willing to preserve the Russian identity, many famous artists distinguished themselves in book design and realized many original artistic projects especially when it came to illustrating Russian literary works and their translations, thus also contributing to the emergence of a new and remarkable exile culture. At the beginning of the 20th century, such publishing projects were initiated in all major European cities where Russian communities existed. Yet, the diaspora’s cultural activities were merely concentrated in Paris, since it became the center of Modern art, and was attracting talents from around the world. During the 1920-the 30s, more than fifty famous Russian masters living in Paris were involved in publishing activities, whereas almost all major French publishers closely worked with several of them. The present short overview of the history of European and French publishing provides context for describing some remarkable book copies which are now preserved in the Slavic collection of the Jean Moulin Lyon 3 university library. Whether they are illustrated by major masters of Russian avant-garde such as N. Gončarova, M. Larionov, B. Grigor’ev, V. Masjutin or by tradition-oriented artists, they all bear witness to the rich contribution of the first-wave Russian “émigrés” to the 20th-century European culture. Plusieurs fonds composent ces collections. Notre établissement a d’abord accueilli en 2002 une prestigieuse bibliothèque jésuite, la Bibliothèque slave de Meudon, créée au milieu du xixe siècle, et ensuite de nombreux dons prodigués par de grands scientifiques – linguistes, philologues, historiens. L’objectif principal de cet article est de mettre en lumière des livres rares, précieux, singuliers et liés, d’une manière ou d’une autre, à des problématiques de linguistique et de traduction des langues slaves. Cette présentation est tout d’abord une excellente opportunité de rendre hommage aux savants, polyglottes et experts en langues slaves qui ont construit les collections de la BDL au fil des années. C’est aussi un voyage à travers ces langues en compagnie de grands représentants de la culture russe ou d’éminents slavistes, à la découverte de moments particuliers de l’histoire de la Russie et de l’Europe centrale et orientale. The Diderot Library in Lyon holds large and rich collections of more than 100,000 documents, both antique and contemporary, devoted to Slavic civilization, and named “Russian and Middle European library funds”. Several sets were brought together to create these collections. In 2002, the ENS of Lyon welcomed a famous Jesuit library, “the Slavic Library of Meudon” founded in the middle of the19th century; the collection was later enriched by many other donations from well-known scholars, linguists, philologists, and historians. The main purpose of this article is to present some of these precious, rare and remarkable books, which question somehow or other topics of linguistics and translation in the Slavic languages. First this essay pays tribute to outstanding scientists, all polyglots and experts in translation, who built the BDL collections over the years. It is also a journey through many languages, in company of great figures of distinguished Slavists, setting off to explore specific times in the history of Central and Eastern Europe. В Лионской библиотеке им. Дени Дидро хранятся богатейшие фонды, позволяющие изучать славянские культуры Центральной и Восточной Европы. Более 100 000 документов раскрывают множество граней географического и языкового пространства от Центральной и Восточной Европы до Дальнего Востока: историю, литературу, изобразительные искусства, политическую и социальную жизнь, философию и религию, эмиграцию, культурные влияния и трансферы. Этот многоязычный калейдоскоп состоит из венгерских, грузинских, польских, русских, чешских, украинских, румынских источников. Основой коллекций стала библиотека иезуитов, бывшая Славянская библиотека Медона, переданная на хранение в лионскую Нормальную школу в 2002 году. Эти фонды – результат кропотливого коллекционирования и сбора книг эрудитами и учеными с середины XIX века. Среди коллекционеров – русские эмигранты в Западной Европе и –, в частности, во Франции, основатели иезуитской библиотеки, а также выдающиеся слависты, такие как Корнелис ван Шоневельд, владевший большинством славянских языков, или Клод Кастлер, автор русских, чешских и польских грамматик. Эти книги свидетельствуют о богатстве и разнообразии зачастую незнакомых западному читателю языков, на этих языках созданы литературные, философские и религиозные труды. На протяжении десятилетий вплоть до сегодняшнего дня их собирали для того, чтобы разрушать стены невежества и непонимания. Здесь и пособия по изучению славянских языков, и широкий спектр теоретических работ для сравнения и сопоставления различных переводческих техник, и оригинальные переводы. Фундаментом для «объединения» этих книг стало стремление к взаимодействию и взаимообогащению языков и культур, к познанию «другого», к напряженному и плодотворному столкновению своего с чужим.
