L’auteur médite sur sa (relative) propension à ne pas rendre les articles qu’il a promis, à laisser ses travaux inachevés, et il constate le même défaut chez l’auteur sur lequel il travaille depuis plusieurs décennies. Cet inachèvement est-il un moyen illusoire de retarder la mort, ou un moyen infaillible pour ne pas laisser de trace ? Chez Il’ja Zdanevič, on constate différents types d’inachèvement : par abandon du projet, par reprise continuelle du texte, mais aussi, plus curieusement, par soustraction de pages déjà écrites. Se pose alors cette énigme : se peut-il que ces textes inachevés le soient en raison d’une intervention extérieure, ou bien ont-ils été amputés par Zdanevič lui-même ? Наше существование отмечено незавершенностью, сама наша конечность провозглашает незавершенность всего, за что мы беремся, и что наш конец не позволит нам завершить. Автор размышляет о своей (относительной) склонности не возвращать обещанные статьи, оставлять свою работу незавершенной и отмечает тот же недостаток у автора, над которым он работает уже несколько десятилетий. Является ли эта незавершенность иллюзорным способом отсрочить смерть или надёжным средством не оставлять следов? В творчестве Ильи Зданевича мы можем наблюдать различные виды незавершенности: отказ от запланированного, постоянная переработка текста, но также, что более любопытно, изъятие уже написанных страниц. В связи с этим возникает следующий вопрос: возможно ли, что эти незаконченные тексты стали таковыми из-за внешнего вмешательства, или же они были ампутированы самим Зданевичем? Our existence is marked by the incompletion, our finitude proclaims the incompletion of all that we undertake and that our end will prevent us from completing. The author meditates on his (relative) propensity of not returning the articles he has promised and leaving his work unfinished. He observes the same issue in the creativity of the author on whom he has been working for several decades. Is this incompleteness an illusory way of delaying death, or an infallible way of not leaving a trace? In Il’ja Zdanevič’s works, we can observe different types of incompletion that manifest themselves by abandoning the project, continually reworking the text, and by a curious way of subtracting pages already written.
