Elle entend ainsi jouer un rôle de veille, de perfectionnement et de diffusion des savoirs du champ parlementaire à l’aune de la crise qui traverse son enceinte. Elle y répond par un effort de dynamisme démocratique tant dans les solutions apportées quant au fonctionnement de la démocratie parlementaire que dans son appréhension scientifique par une méthodologie pluridisciplinaire et comparative, « la science constitutionnelle » et sa diffusion. Des partenariats institutionnels français et étrangers ainsi que des projets transversaux avec d’autres laboratoires de recherche sont amorcés. The Chair of Parliamentary Studies of the University of Lille aims to become a reference center in the field of parliamentary studies for experts-researchers, practitioners-as well as for students and beyond. It seeks to play a role in monitoring, improving, and spreading knowledge in parliamentary affairs in the light of the parliamentary crisis. In response, the Chair is striving for fostering democratic vitality, both in the solutions to be provided concerning the functioning of parliamentary democracy and in its scientific approach through a plural and comprehensive method, the “constitutional science” and its disseminating.
