Dans le cas d’espèce de l’Afrique noire francophone, les jeunes chercheurs en sciences sociales en général et en science politique en particulier, s’intéressent peu aux objets liés à la francophonie. Dans leurs travaux de recherche, on y trouve très souvent des questions relatives aux conflits, aux organisations internationales, aux politiques publiques locales et internationales, à l’État, aux sociétés traditionnelles, au genre, etc. Pourtant, la Francophonie n’exclut fondamentalement aucune perspective ontologique en rapport avec ces champs exploratoires. En réalité, la Francophonie comme matériaux scientifique peut être abondamment abordée du point de vue socio-anthropologique, des relations internationales et de l’action publique. La certitude est qu’un objet manifestement négligé, aussi pertinent soit-il, perd en substance, en crédibilité et en intérêt ; il se meurt. Cependant, en dehors de quelques chaires créées çà et là, qu’est-ce qui peut expliquer le désintéressement des objets liés à la Francophonie par les jeunes chercheurs d’Afrique noire en général et politistes en particulier ? Pourquoi s’avèrent-ils manifestement moins captivants ? Quels sont les axes scientifiques qui s’offrent aux chercheurs qui s’intéressent aux problématiques de la Francophonie ? À travers quels outils théoriques peut-on saisir les questions liées à la Francophonie ? Cette approche est pertinente dans la mesure où l’Afrique noire francophone vit une vive concurrence des valeurs linguistiques diffusées par les puissances culturelles. Alors, l’on ne peut lire la place de la Francophonie en Afrique sans prendre en compte la fulgurante pénétration des autres institutions linguistiques. En outre, penser la place de la Francophonie dans les travaux des jeunes chercheurs, c’est explorer les dynamiques de survivance de cet objet, étant entendue que la jeunesse garantit la reproduction scientifique des objets. Notre étude combine donc à la fois les perspectives théoriques et pratiques. De ce fait, elle s’appuie ainsi, sur le portefeuille méthodologique du fonctionnalisme et le rationalisme. In an era of major global balances the question of the resilience, reintegration and above all reinsertion of the Francophonie into the category of all social facts is a pressing one. In the case of French-speaking black Africa young researchers in the social sciences in general and in political science in particular take little interest in issues relating to the French-speaking world. Their researches very often deal with issues relating to conflict, international organisations, local and international public policy, the state, traditional societies, gender and so on. However, the Francophonie does not fundamentally exclude any ontological perspective in relation to these exploratory fields. In fact, the Francophonie as a scientific material can be approached from a socio-anthropological, international relations and public action point of view. Undoubtedly, a subject that is manifestly neglected yet relevant may lose its substance, credibility and interest thus becoming non-existent. However, apart from a few chairs created here and there what could explain the lack of interest in Francophonie-related subjects among young Black African researchers in general and political scientists in particular? Why are they clearly less captivating? What scientific avenues are open to researchers interested in the issues of the French-speaking world? What theoretical tools can be used to grasp the issues surrounding the Francophonie? This approach is relevant insofar as French-speaking black Africa is experiencing fierce competition for linguistic values disseminated by the cultural powers. The place of the Francophonie in Africa cannot be read without taking into account the rapid penetration of other linguistic institutions. Furthermore, to consider the place of the Francophonie in the work of young researchers is to explore the dynamics of the survival of the latter given that youth guarantees the scientific reproduction of objects.
