Les États africains en construction sont confrontés en même temps aux défis de la mondialisation, caractérisée par l’affaiblissement des frontières et l’intensification des mouvements transnationaux. Ces derniers, vus comme moteurs du développement, sont facilités par l’intégration régionale. L’implication des pays émergents dans la régionalisation africaine modifie la nature des interactions entre les pays africains et les acteurs extérieurs. L’exemple de la coopération sino-africaine nous permet d’observer les spécificités des visions et approches chinoises concernant les enjeux du développement et l’intégration régionale. Borders, as an integral part of nation-states, occupy an important place in their formation. African states under construction are confronted at the same time with the challenges of globalization, characterized by the weakening of borders and the intensification of transnational movements. The latter, seen as engines of development, are facilitated by regional integration. The involvement of emerging countries in African regionalization modifies the nature of interactions between African countries and external actors.
