Vor allem jungen Familien versprechen sich von einem Umzug aufs Land eine höhere Lebensqualität. Die erhoffte Idylle im naturnahen Umfeld erweist sich jedoch oft als eine Enttäuschung, und nur selten gelingt eine Integrierung. Dieses beschreiben drei in den letzten Jahren erschienene deutsche Romane: Altes Land von Dörte Hansen (2015), Unterleuten von Julie Zeh (2016) und An der Grasnarbe von Miriam Wittig (2022). Auch weitaus interessiertere Motivationen (Angst vor Attentaten, rücksichtslose Ökologie, neuer Anfang nach einem Versagen in der Stadt, Karrierepläne und Profitsuche auf Kosten der Dorfbewohner usw.), die nicht unbedingt vereinbar sind mit der prinzipiellen Sinnsuche, die die „Städter“ offiziell zur Flucht aus der Stadt führt, werden von den drei Autorinnen enthüllt, und die Idylle Dorf so weitaus als eine aktuelle Illusion dekonstruiert. Les jeunes familles avec enfants surtout attendent d’une installation à la campagne une meilleure qualité de vie. Mais l’idylle espérée se révèle le plus souvent décevante et rares sont ceux qui réussissent une intégration, comme le décrivent trois romans allemands parus récemment : Altes Land de Dörte Hansen (2015), Unterleuten de Julie Zeh (2016) et An der Grasnarbe de Miriam Wittig (2022). Les trois autrices y dévoilent aussi certaines motivations (peur d’attentats terroristes, diktats écologiques, un nouveau départ après un échec dans la ville, des plans de carrière et la recherche de profit sur le dos des villageois, etc.) qui ne sont par ailleurs que peu compatibles avec cette recherche de sens qui amène officiellement les urbains à quitter la ville. Dans ces trois romans, le village comme idylle relève ainsi largement d’un fantasme à déconstruire. In 2023, an article in the National Geographic emphasized the tendency to leave the cities, reinforced by the Corona-pandemic and several lockdowns. Most of all young families with children hope to find in the country a better quality of life. But the idyll turns often into deception, and only exceptionally a kind of integration is realized. Three novels published recently in Germany describe this phenomenon: Altes Land (Dörte Hansen, 2015), Unterleuten (Julie Zeh, 2016) et An der Grasnarbe (Miriam Wittig, 2022).
