Ce manuscrit intitulé « Celle qui fut l’Olympia de Manet » se présente comme un récit biographie de Victorine Meurent, modèle préféré de Manet pour qui elle a posé entre 1862 et 1872. En rapport avec le mémoire de master consacrée à Meurent, l’objectif de cet article est d’évaluer certains éléments du manuscrit qui permettent d’établir sa valeur historique dans l’élaboration du mythe du modèle décadent, associé à la figure de Meurent. In 2023, the Morgan Library and Museum in New York acquired a photocopy of an unpublished manuscript by Tabarant. The manuscript, entitled “Celle qui fut l’Olympia de Manet,” is a biographical account of Victorine Meurent, Manet’s favorite model, for whom she posed between 1862 and 1872.
