Je tente ici d’exposer une recherche-création interrogeant nos représentations du vivant, d’établir des liens entre goût et sol à partir du concept de bactério-terroir, de penser la fermentation comme récit contemporain de la nature. Fermentation highlights a complex and invisible biodiversity. At the border of art, design and science, fermentation points the importance of the recognition of a non-human culture, a decolonization of our perspectives and a reconfiguration of the relationship between nature and culture. Nous proposons de discuter cette thèse en nous intéressant plus spécifiquement à l’histoire du design, à travers une analyse de textes de László Moholy-Nagy. Notre argument est que le design moderne a proposé une critique du naturalisme, bien que cette critique ne soit pas dénuée d’ambivalence et d’ambiguïtés. Bruno Latour has proposed that modern arts and sciences can be understood as being part of the same type of worldview, naturalism. We propose to discuss this claim by focusing on the history of design, through an analysis of texts by László Moholy-Nagy.
